Recital

This one was exciting. My good childhood friend Abigail Walker called me up asking for a quick poster. She happened to catch me right at the end of a coding project — so I jumped at the opportunity to get visually creative for a change.

I had 50’s-style cutout screenprint styles on the mind, and I had just downloaded the great Blackout typeface, so this concept immediately jumped to mind. Every once in a while, an original idea makes it from concept to final product without any revisions. It’s refreshing.

After I completed the poster, I decided to try some other color treatments, which turned out nicely as well.
